He desperately needs to ask directions from a Truthteller. He stops a group of three women and asks if they are Truthtellers. The first woman says: "Two of us are Truthtellers." The second woman says: "Only one of us is a Truthteller." The third one adds: "The last woman who spoke is telling the truth." Which of the women are truthtellers? Solution: Larry should find someone else to ask, because none of the three women can be Truthtellers. The second and third women’s statements are not true, because they contradict each other. This makes the first woman’s statement also false. |
